Their inviting, eclectic-elegant ambiance is designed to create memorable moments centered on well-being, gastronomy, and cultural experiences. At La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartment in Dubai, they are seeking a Storekeeper / Receiving Clerk dedicated to delivering exceptional service for guests and staff.
Job Summary
The Storekeeper / Receiving Clerk will handle the receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of hotel supplies, food and beverage inventory, operational materials, and equipment. This role ensures precise inventory records, proper stock rotation, adherence to hotel protocols, and timely internal distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept incoming deliveries and verify the quantity, quality, and conformity with purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect all items for damage, expiration dates, and quality standards compliance.
- Accurately record all received goods in the inventory system and prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Communicate with suppliers regarding any shortages, discrepancies, or damaged shipments.
- Store all inventory products in assigned areas following established protocols.
- Maintain precise stock records and execute stock issuance based on approved department requests.
- Monitor inventory movement, report low stock levels, and participate actively in monthly stock takes and physical counts.
- Apply FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles especially for food and beverage stocks.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and secure storage conditions.
- Update and maintain inventory management software accurately and timely.
- File delivery documentation including invoices and inventory records systematically.
- Comply with relevant food safety, health, and workplace safety legislation.
- Assist auditors during periodic checks and support cost control efforts by minimizing waste and discrepancies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional credentials in Hospitality, Logistics, or Supply Chain management are advantageous.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related position, ideally within hotel operations.
- Knowledgeable with inventory management systems and hotel-specific software applications.
- Proficient basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and inventory tools.
- Strong numerical aptitude and excellent record keeping abilities.
- Physical ability to handle stock loading and movement as necessary.
