Stewarding Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead and support our stewarding team in maintaining efficient cleanliness operations. You will supervise and assist stewards in their duties, ensuring the proper functioning of cleaning processes including monitoring water temperature and chemical levels. Your role also involves aiding banquet preparations, assisting kitchen staff, and managing inventory flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and support Stewards to enhance cleaning efficiency.
• Monitor, adjust, and document water temperature and chemical measurements for sanitation.
• Assist with banquet plate preparations and provide support to cooks and kitchen personnel.
• Manage stock levels and transport items for banquet and buffet events.
• Ensure cleaned utensils and equipment are returned to their designated storage areas.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of staff.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies, promptly reporting hazards or accidents.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary company information.
• Provide courteous guest interactions in line with company hospitality standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
• Foster positive working relationships and contribute to team objectives.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting, standing, and navigating various work surfaces.
• Perform additional reasonable tasks as delegated by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a related role with a minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity.
• No mandatory licenses or certifications required.
