Overview
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Steward with a solid background in the hospitality sector, particularly hotels or restaurants, to join our team at Manam. This role focuses on upholding exceptional hygiene standards and supporting back-of-house operations within a high-quality, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain superior levels of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service zones.
- Effectively clean and sanitize all utensils, dishes, cookware, and kitchen machinery following FSSAI regulations and company hygiene policies.
- Assist kitchen and service teams by organizing and replenishing ingredients, cutlery, and crockery during service periods.
- Support basic food preparation and presentation tasks when necessary.
- Ensure proper garbage segregation and disposal aligned with sustainability practices.
- Manage cleaning supply inventories and alert supervisors for restocking requirements.
- Prepare and dismantle service areas before and after operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms and common guest spaces.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and health and safety standards consistently.
- Help receive and arrange inventory deliveries while maintaining stock rotation through FIFO methods.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management from an accredited institute.
- Have 2 to 5 years of steward or equivalent experience in luxury hotels, fine-dining establishments, or upscale cafés.
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen sanitation protocols.
- Experience with dishwashing equipment and understanding of back-of-house processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
- A strong team-oriented attitude and professionalism.
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends.
