HL Klemove India Private Limited (KLI) was founded in 2008 in Korea and now operates with branches in China and India. The company’s cutting-edge automotive technologies are embraced by leading global automakers including Hyundai, Kia Motors, GM, and Tesla. Their product lines include EPS Sensors, Steering ECUs, Brake ECUs, Drive Assistance Systems, and Wheel Speed Sensors. KLI established its advanced manufacturing plant near Chennai in 2016 and launched an R&D center in Bangalore in 2017. Role Overview
The SQA Engineer will be responsible for supplier performance management and development, quality improvements, audits, and supplier training, focusing mainly on mechanical components such as casting, molding, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve supplier quality performance, focusing on part quality and monthly PPM metrics; escalate issues as needed.
- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance corrective actions and conduct regular supplier meetings for quality improvement.
- Verify and track the effectiveness of supplier product quality corrective actions.
- Perform supplier validation audits and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Review supplier manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and development.
- Provide training on quality methods such as Poka-Yoke, MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP documents, AOI, and blueprint reading.
- Manage supplier key performance indicators and 4M/ECN change management in coordination with suppliers, CCB, and customers.
- Conduct scheduled supplier audits—PPAP, product, run-at-rate, and special audits—and ensure closure of audit findings within timelines.
- Lead 8D defect analysis and escalate issues to suppliers; monitor timely submission and effectiveness of 8D reports.
- Organize supplier meetings and trainings to improve processes and quality output.
- Assess new suppliers and developments through technical reviews, APQP, gate reviews, new product testing, PPAP audits, and lessons learned benchmarking.
- Maintain and update IATF documentation, establish and maintain SQA processes and revisions, comply with ISO 14001 & OHSAS standards.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to higher management.
Eligibility and Educational Qualifications
Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization or possess a diploma in any field. The role is open to individuals meeting these educational qualifications.
