Software Developer

About the Role

Join one of Pine's portfolio companies as a Software Developer, working remotely from Australia. You'll contribute to building customizations, integrations, and AI-augmented tools that support the largest MYOB Acumatica practice in Australia. This permanent, full-time position allows you to impact the development team's capabilities significantly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MYOB Acumatica customizations and integrations following rigorous development processes including source control, code reviews, and accurate quoting.
• Manage your own client ticket queue by diagnosing issues, resolving problems efficiently, and maintaining proactive communication to ensure no ticket remains unattended.
• Utilize AI-augmented tools such as Claude Code and MACK to enhance productivity and quality standards, while helping to improve these tools.
• Provide reliable quotes and deliver solutions within estimated timeframes, promptly alerting the team to any potential overruns.
• Assist with system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize team workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundations in software engineering concepts including object-oriented programming, API usage, and source control systems.
• Proficient in SQL and relational database management.
• Effective and proactive communication skills with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn complex systems and adapt to new technology stacks.
• Practical experience leveraging AI tools effectively in the development workflow.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or aptitude for quickly mastering C# and .NET technologies.
• Familiarity with MYOB Acumatica and the Acumatica framework.
• Knowledge of ERP platforms such as Wiise or Business Central.
• Experience with integration technologies and RESTful APIs.
• Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or related capabilities is an advantage.

Success Metrics

• Becoming proficient in Acumatica customization and integration tasks within the development process.
• Efficiently managing your ticket queue with minimal unresolved items older than five business days.
• Consistently providing accurate estimates and meeting delivery deadlines.
• Using AI-based tools fluently and contributing innovative ideas to enhance team performance.
