Social Media Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and highly organized Social Media Manager to join a dynamic video production company. This multifaceted role is ideal for someone deeply passionate about social media who can create impactful content and translate brand objectives into clear, efficient social media strategies.

Working closely with the founder and creative team, you will drive client campaigns, develop content concepts, and oversee the social media approach from strategic planning through execution. The ideal candidate balances big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, including editing high-quality social videos and reels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed content plans tailored to various client goals and audiences, providing guidance on content creation, brand positioning, and optimal distribution to maximize reach and ROI.
• Generate native social content ideas with compelling hooks and platform-specific campaign strategies that blend creativity and commercial effectiveness.
• Participate in client meetings to confidently present social strategies, articulating data insights and the rationale behind creative decisions.
• Edit social films, reels, and short-form videos to professional standards, ensuring pacing and visual style align with social media consumption trends.
• Support production logistics such as call sheets and shoot preparations, balancing creative priorities with operational deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or content creation within an agency or video production environment.
• Strong proficiency in social media platforms, trends, and their unique algorithms.
• Demonstrated ability to independently edit short-form video content using tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including strong presentation abilities and attention to detail.
• A proactive, reliable approach comfortable with being the internal social media expert and working autonomously.

Additional Preferences

• Conversational or professional proficiency in French is a desirable asset.
• Experience collaborating with film directors, camera crews, or within structured production workflows.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, or scripting assistants to enhance workflow efficiency and creative ideation.

Employment Details

This is a part-time, independent contractor position requiring 20 hours per week. The role is fully remote, with the client located in the Bailiwick of Jersey. The monthly compensation ranges from $700 to $880, adjustable based on experience.
