Position Overview

The Site Surveyor role involves setting up and maintaining both primary and secondary control points onsite using a Robotic Total Station. This foundational control enables effective use of The Atom AR system. Daily duties include wearing The Atom to detect and prevent construction and design errors onsite, ultimately avoiding costly rework and delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing primary and secondary control through traversing and resection techniques with a Robotic Total Station.
• Performing daily site inspections utilizing The Atom headset to confirm installations align with BIM models.
• Communicating and reporting progress to clients.
• Generating detailed reports based on daily inspection findings.
• Participating in meetings with contractors to coordinate daily operations.
• Verifying accuracy and reliability of all collected survey data.
• Reporting to the Field Operations Manager to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure timely completion of inspections.
• Collaborating with contractors to develop weekly inspection lookaheads aligned with the master construction schedule to minimize field installation errors.
• Acquiring and preparing the latest approved Revit models for export into HoloSite software.

Required Skills and Experience

• Practical experience in construction or engineering surveying.
• Proficient in operating Robotic Total Stations for construction layout and control purposes.
• Prior involvement in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with 3D software such as Revit and Navisworks or BIM/BIM360 is desirable; training can be provided.
• Confidence in Microsoft Office suite application usage.
