Role Overview
The Senior Sales Manager will spearhead revenue expansion by forging and nurturing relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, government bodies, event organizers, and essential business stakeholders. The position involves proactively identifying new sales avenues, enhancing current accounts, and contributing to the hotel's broader commercial strategy. Collaborating with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Revenue & Reservations, and Operations teams, this role ensures revenue targets are met while providing outstanding client service and sustaining long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic sales plans to fulfill monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
- Discover and secure new business prospects across multiple segments, including corporate, leisure, government, MICE, wholesale, and groups.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both existing clients and potential customers through regular communications, visits, events, and presentations.
- Arrange hotel site inspections and familiarization trips for prospective clients.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and rates within approved limits.
- Maintain an active and well-managed sales pipeline with prompt follow-ups on all inquiries.
- Manage a portfolio of key accounts, conducting frequent reviews to identify revenue growth opportunities and developing tailored account plans.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business by addressing client concerns swiftly and professionally.
- Collaborate with Revenue & Reservations to optimize pricing and inventory management.
- Promote the full range of hotel services, including accommodations, dining, event spaces, and special deals.
- Maximize revenue across transient, group, and event bookings with support for upselling and cross-selling.
- Monitor competition, pricing structures, and market developments to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Report market intelligence and recommendations to leadership and attend relevant industry events for hotel promotion.
- Accurately maintain client data, contracts, and sales records in CRM tools; create proposals, presentations, and sales reports in line with company policies and brand standards.
- Work cohesively with multiple departments such as Operations, Front Office, Events, and Food & Beverage to ensure flawless service delivery, especially for groups, VIP clients, and special events.
- Participate actively in weekly commercial and revenue meetings to align strategies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performing sales team environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related fields.
- At least 5 to 7 years of sales experience in the hotel industry, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial sales capacity.
- Experience in upscale hospitality sectors is preferred, with pre-opening hotel experience considered an asset.
- Strong familiarity with corporate, leisure, MICE, and group sales segments.
- Significant understanding of the Saudi Arabian market.
- Willingness to relocate or travel to Al Baha, Saudi Arabia.
