Role Overview

The Senior Production Planner will be responsible for building detailed production schedules from sales forecasts and confirmed order demand. The role is focused on creating master production plans that support efficient use of processing and packing equipment, maintaining plan discipline throughout the planning cycle, and coordinating promptly with relevant teams when changes occur.

This position also involves evaluating machine performance, suggesting adjustments to production rates in collaboration with manufacturing and processing teams, and making sure service expectations are met for both internal stakeholders and external customers. Where exceptions arise, the planner must communicate quickly to enable alternative supply arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production plans using forecast data and actual sales orders.
• Prepare the master production schedule to maximize the use of processing and packing resources.
• Track the plan during execution and notify affected departments of any required changes.
• Assess machine performance and work with manufacturing teams to recommend revised run rates.
• Help ensure service levels are met for internal and external customers.
• Escalate exceptions quickly so backup supply options can be arranged.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a SAP R/3 environment, preferably within an FMCG setting.
• Ability to prepare practical daily and weekly plans that satisfy as many requirements as possible.
• Strong focus on preventing non-conformances and concessions by following SOPs and standard planning norms.
• Understanding of the importance of customer service and consistent on-time, in-full delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other related software tools.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.
