Company Overview
Viatris is a global healthcare organization bridging generics and branded pharmaceuticals to deliver comprehensive healthcare solutions worldwide. Serving around one billion patients per year, Viatris aims to empower individuals to achieve better health at every life stage, addressing a wide range of conditions from acute to chronic.
Role Impact and Responsibilities
As a Senior Process Engineer within Manufacturing Science and Technology, your expertise will be instrumental in supporting manufacturing processes. Key activities include using technical knowledge to facilitate smooth operations, assessing technical risks to manage changes effectively, and designing experiments based on quality by design to investigate deviations in production. You'll critically analyze diverse technical data sources, draft high-quality scientific protocols and reports, and collaborate across functional teams to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges. You will participate actively in manufacturing quality investigations, provide technical support for new product introductions, transfers, and alternative source qualifications, and engage in continuous process verification to address observed trends.
Additional responsibilities entail leading technology transfer projects within the facility, planning and executing exhibit and Process Performance Qualification (PPQ) batches, carrying out product lifecycle projects such as alternative API source qualifications and batch scaling, preparing cleaning validation documentation, coordinating manufacturing investigations, and mentoring team members. Clear communication and effective collaboration across internal and external functions are essential, along with a continuous improvement mindset and positive attitude.
Qualifications and Experience
The role requires a science degree complemented by at least 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, particularly within sterile manufacturing environments. Proven involvement in Process Performance Qualification and investigation with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation is essential. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with aseptic filling equipment, pharmaceutical compounding, and knowledge of single-use systems.
Company Commitment and Culture
