Position Overview
This role is pivotal in establishing a global fruits trading powerhouse, scaling from initial stages to substantial growth. Key features include international travel, potential P&L ownership, high visibility, and working within a lean team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth insights into various country and commodity market dynamics.
- Design and implement go-to-market strategies to accelerate growth and scale.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, HR, Category Management, Product, Business Unit Heads, and CEO’s office to align and fulfill external stakeholder requirements.
- Conduct international travel 30-50% of the time.
- Lead activities like establishing operations in new countries, creating scalable playbooks, hiring and managing local teams and business units, and developing data-driven products that provide competitive advantages.
- Operate with significant autonomy after demonstrating capability.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience in consulting, strategy and operations, P&L management, or roles such as Chief of Staff or CEO’s office.
- Background in launching new business lines or product verticals.
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree from Tier I or II institutions preferred.
- Experience in fresh produce, imports/exports, or trading sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and influence decisions.
- Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Highly inquisitive nature to independently seek answers and questions.
- Ambition and strong passion for excellence.
