About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Instructional Designer working remotely within the United States and partnering with a dedicated team focused on creating innovative educational programs that enhance performance and professional development. Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end instructional design projects covering analysis, planning, development, execution, and evaluation phases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess business objectives, identify performance gaps, set learning goals, and define success metrics.
• Conduct discovery workshops, requirements sessions, and task analyses to recommend suitable learning interventions.
• Design and create comprehensive learning assets such as eLearning courses, storyboards, scripts, simulations, tutorials, facilitator manuals, participant guides, assessments, multimedia, and train-the-trainer materials.
• Develop instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and self-paced digital learning formats aimed at enhancing learner outcomes.
• Ensure all instructional content complies with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards and maintains necessary documentation.
• Manage several projects simultaneously while balancing deadlines, priorities, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
• Perform quality assurance assessments and iteratively improve educational content based on feedback, analytics, and emergent best practices.
• Occasionally participate in client meetings, onsite activities, and program reviews, providing expert consultation on learning solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required; a Master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least five years of progressive instructional design experience emphasizing adult learning theories and performance-driven methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience creating engaging learning experiences across multiple delivery modes, including eLearning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and blended formats.
• Proficiency with instructional and authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Lectora, CenarioVR, Unity (VR), and multimedia development platforms.
• Strong facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement, business needs gathering, and translating complex information into accessible learner materials.
• Effective project management, organizational capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Knowledge and application of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, including content remediation and documentation procedures.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, presentation, analytical, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory along with the capability to pass a federal background check.
• Background supporting government, military, higher education, or public sector learning initiatives and an active or recent Secret Clearance are strongly favored.
