Senior Data Analyst - Media Measurement

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a partner associated with Haystack for a senior technical leader to oversee media measurement standards. This role involves creating and implementing a unified measurement framework that spans Above The Line (ATL), digital marketing, testing methodologies, econometrics, and campaign reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for media measurement protocols and embed an integrated framework across multiple marketing channels including ATL, digital, and campaign evaluations.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), guiding principles for methodology, evidential standards, and confidence thresholds to evaluate media effectiveness.
• Plan and implement strategic geo-experiments and other incrementality tests that provide reliable insights for business growth.
• Lead the comprehensive technical design of testing phases including assessing feasibility, choosing markets, analyzing results, and forming recommendations.
• Incorporate measurement techniques into a workable framework to inform investment decisions.
• Develop and manage a team of technical specialists to enhance advanced media measurement capabilities.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive knowledge in experimental design, causal inference, and statistical data analysis with demonstrable success in managing large-scale media experiments such as geo-testing or controlled market trials.
• Strong familiarity with measuring media performance across ATL and digital channels, with expertise in econometrics, testing procedures, and attribution models.
• Proven track record in formulating measurement frameworks, standards, or methodologies that guide media performance evaluation.
• Advanced technical skills including crafting complex SQL queries and utilizing Python or a similar tool for data analysis.
• Capability to distill intricate measurement data into clear and actionable business insights.
• Prior experience leading and mentoring analysts or technical teams.
