School Crossing Guard

Role Overview

All City Management Services is hiring a School Crossing Guard in Jupiter to support safe student movement for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The position focuses on helping children cross streets safely before and after school and contributing to community safety.

Work Schedule

This role is limited to school days, Monday through Friday, with shifts available before school and after school. If both shifts are assigned, the total time on duty is 2 hours per day.

Pay

Compensation is $19.50 per hour. When both daily shifts are worked, the total daily earnings come to $39.00.

Location Requirement

Applicants must live in Zip Codes 33410 or 33458 because the job may require a quick response time to the work site.

Key Duties

• Direct pedestrians safely across marked crosswalks and intersections.
• Watch traffic conditions and stop vehicles when needed to protect crossing students and other pedestrians.
• Stay attentive at all times to help maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, drivers, and school staff.
• Follow all required safety procedures and practices while on duty.

Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and should be dependable, on time, safety-focused, and able to remain outdoors for long periods in different weather conditions. Strong observation and communication abilities are important. English communication is required by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
