Sales Officer

About the Role

We seek motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-centric individuals for the Paytm EDC Sales Team. This role focuses on onboarding merchants, promoting Paytm payment devices, maintaining merchant relationships, and meeting sales targets.

Positions and Responsibilities

1. Sales Officer

• Recruit new merchants within the Paytm payment ecosystem.
• Market and sell QR Soundbox, POS/EDC machines, and additional Paytm products.
• Generate leads through field visits and local marketing efforts.
• Build lasting relationships with merchants.
• Ensure device installation and activation are completed successfully.
• Educate merchants on product features and benefits.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Address basic merchant inquiries and liaise with support teams as needed.
• Provide daily sales updates and maintain CRM records.

2. High Value Officer (HVO)

• Acquire and manage premium, high-value merchants.
• Lead deployment of advanced payment solutions including POS/EDC devices.
• Develop strong business-owner relationships and engage decision-makers.
• Cross-sell financial and value-added products.
• Maintain high merchant satisfaction and retention records.
• Identify new business opportunities and increase transaction volumes.
• Monitor competitors and implement sales tactics.
• Consistently achieve revenue and business objectives.
• Coordinate internal departments for merchant onboarding and service delivery.

Candidate Profile

Sales Officer

• 0 to 2 years experience; freshers with excellent communication encouraged.
• Graduate or undergraduate qualification.
• Strong communication and persuasion capabilities.
• Willing to engage in field sales.
• Self-driven and target-focused.
• Possession of smartphone with basic Android skills.

High Value Officer

• At least 3 years of experience in banking, FinTech, payment industry, or financial services.
• Sales experience from Paytm, PhonePe, BharatPe, Pine Labs, banks, NBFCs, or payment solution firms preferred.
• Proficient in negotiation and relationship management.
• Ability to independently manage sales operations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Backgrounds

• Banking and financial professionals.
• Experience with PhonePe, BharatPe, Pine Labs, Paytm, or payment solution providers.
• FinTech and NBFC sales experts.

Compensation and Benefits

• Sales Officer Salary: ₹17,000 to ₹25,000 monthly plus incentives.
• High Value Officer Salary: ₹32,000 to ₹40,000 monthly plus attractive incentives.
