Role Overview
AtkinsRéalis invites applications for a Risk Manager based in Riyadh, KSA, focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects, such as major roads, highways, bridges, and related facilities. The role is embedded in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) setting and involves providing risk management support to project delivery teams and clients. The Risk Manager will be responsible for all stages of risk planning, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring to guarantee successful program outcomes that meet cost, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks, methodologies, and procedures aligned with global best practices.
- Facilitate risk identification sessions involving all relevant participants including stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Maintain updated risk and program registers for all projects.
- Conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk analyses covering all project phases and aspects such as design, construction, procurement, permits, utilities, and environmental constraints.
- Formulate effective mitigation plans and contingencies to minimize project risk exposure.
- Continuously monitor emerging risks and opportunities, recommending preemptive measures.
- Lead quantitative risk analyses employing Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate schedule and cost uncertainties, including confidence levels like P50, P80, and P90.
- Identify key factors influencing project outcomes and propose strategies for risk reduction.
- Generate detailed Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and Cost Risk Analysis (CRA) documentation for management and client review.
- Collaborate with project controls, scheduling, and cost management to integrate risk data and support project delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive dashboards, reports, and presentations updating leadership and clients on project risk status, trends, and mitigation progress.
- Coordinate risk reviews and meetings with internal teams and external parties to ensure alignment and risk-aware culture.
- Ensure adherence to client requirements, governance standards, and contract commitments, including participation in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 20 years' experience in project controls, risk management, or project management.
- At least 10 years with dedicated risk management responsibilities.
- Strong background working in PMC or engineering consultancy settings.
- Demonstrable experience managing risks on large infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and highways.
- Proficient in conducting Monte Carlo simulations and quantitative risk assessments for major capital projects.
- Experience collaborating with governmental bodies, transport authorities, and major infrastructure programs in the Middle East preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of quantitative risk assessment techniques, Monte Carlo simulation, schedule and cost risk analyses, confidence forecasting, and earned value management.
