Role Overview
As a Resident Engineer (RE), you will act as the client’s principal technical representative onsite, predominantly at a significant West Dublin development project. The role features a blend of onsite presence and home-based reporting each week. You will ensure that construction activities are delivered to the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards, and represent the client’s interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the client-facing engineering professional on infrastructure projects.
- Engage and coordinate with developers, contractors, consultants, and local authorities.
- Supervise construction processes to verify quality, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and oversee testing and commissioning of assets.
- Verify and review technical documentation, including method statements and quality records.
- Identify, report, and resolve on-site technical challenges, prioritising client interests.
- Ensure that all works align with industry standards, specifications, and legal requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in utilities, infrastructure, water, wastewater, or civil engineering environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction oversight, site inspection, and quality assurance.
- Proficient at managing stakeholders, including developers and project partners.
- Progression towards or attainment of Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
- Must have access to personal transportation.
