Role Overview
As a full-time Reporter based in Islāmābād, Pakistan, you will be instrumental in researching, collecting, and verifying facts to produce insightful news, reports, and feature stories suited to the organization's target audience and project needs. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to prepare and adapt content for digital and app platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and gather reliable information for news articles, reports, and multimedia stories.
- Interview sources and attend relevant events to capture newsworthy details.
- Monitor digital media trends and present complex concepts in concise, audience-friendly formats.
- Write, edit, and fact-check content to meet editorial standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate with editors and digital teams to ensure prompt and accurate publication.
- Adapt stories for various digital channels, maintaining clarity, objectivity, and inclusiveness.
Required Qualifications and Additional Details
- Exceptional investigative, writing, and editorial skills, focusing on precision and audience engagement.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities, essential for interviews and teamwork.
- Working knowledge of multimedia tools, including digital publishing platforms and basic media capture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to function effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment on-site in Islāmābād.
- High ethical standards and commitment to inclusive, accurate reporting practices.
- Familiarity with online news platforms, social media distribution, or SEO principles is advantageous.
