Job Opportunity
We are hiring a Reliability Engineer to lead our site’s maintenance excellence program and collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams. The goal is to mitigate equipment reliability risks that may affect plant operations and drive continuous improvement of equipment reliability through technical support and process management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary coordinator and liaison for the Maintenance Excellence Program.
- Develop predictive maintenance methods tailored to the manufacturing facility’s needs.
- Ensure equipment and systems' reliability, maintainability, and safety by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Analyze maintenance and manufacturing data trends to identify improvement opportunities and support root cause analysis.
- Prepare and present recommendations focused on cost control and reduction.
- Lead projects associated with reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Monitor and assess the performance of critical equipment and plant systems.
- Facilitate root cause analysis of equipment downtime, including mentoring peers in these investigations.
- Design and conduct evaluations on equipment reliability and robustness.
- Contribute to strategic planning related to reliability initiatives.
- Benchmark best practices internally and externally and implement predictive and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
Quality, Safety and Environmental Compliance
- Participate regularly in department meetings to promote continuous feedback.
- Comply with ISO quality standards and relevant company policies to meet quality objectives.
- Adhere strictly to occupational health, safety, and environmental guidelines to minimize risks.
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment as provided.
- Promptly report accidents or incidents within 24 hours and inform management.
Conduct and Ethics
- Ensure all work aligns with employment laws, health and safety mandates, and global company policies.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and customer focus in all activities.
- Abide by Abbott's Code of Business Conduct and corporate values of pioneer spirit, achievement, care, and endurance.
- Stay informed and compliant with Abbott’s standard operating procedures and policies.
- Ensure all company activities meet legal and ethical standards.
Timekeeping and Compliance
- Complete timesheets punctually through the designated system.
- Fulfil all mandatory training assignments by their due dates.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering disciplines such as electrical, control and instrumentation, chemical, IT, or a related field; or a diploma with minimum two years’ experience.
- At least three years of experience in engineering, project management, or a related area.
- Demonstrated skills in project management and execution.
- Ability to influence and manage teams without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Capacity to balance regulatory requirements with practical on-site implementation.
