Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Flight Operations Support Manager to join our remote US-based Flight Operations team. This leadership position involves managing flight operations support activities regionally while ensuring smooth coordination with vendors and cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Flight Operations Support Coordinators, establish clear goals, provide ongoing coaching, and deliver feedback to enhance team performance.
• Manage regional vendor relationships by coordinating with vendor leadership to ensure contract compliance and efficient deployment of Ground Support and Visual Observer personnel.
• Oversee usage and governance of operational tools like Deputy, ServiceNow, and Google Workspace, maintaining data accuracy and consistent scheduling procedures.
• Approve team timesheets, expenses, and regional travel and work collaboratively with managers to address budget complexities effectively.
• Forecast and plan regional staffing needs based on flight volume projections, coordinating with stakeholders to adjust vendor staffing and recruitment.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics and crew readiness, ensuring adherence to Wing standards and health and safety policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Training, and Community Affairs teams to advance common objectives and represent Wing in public and government engagements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Over 5 years’ experience in aviation operations, logistics, or workforce management with significant leadership managing distributed teams.
• Must hold a valid Driver's License.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to set priorities, coach staff, and manage team performance under pressure.
• Demonstrated capability for strategic problem solving and managing complex projects independently.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays, working five days per week as needed.
• At least 2 years of experience in Commercial Drone operations; possession of an active 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required.
• Capable of performing moderate physical tasks and maintaining focus outdoors, including lifting and transporting equipment.
• Excellent communication skills for managing vendors and influencing internal teams using data-backed insights.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity

This full-time role offers a US base salary range of $116,000 to $154,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Salary varies by role, level, and location. Wing is committed to equal employment opportunity and will provide accommodations during the hiring process upon request.
