About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will facilitate full-stack solutions by participating in multi-disciplinary team coordination and ecosystem integration to expedite delivery and uphold quality standards throughout the application lifecycle. Your responsibilities will cover continuous testing across security, API, and regression domains, crafting automation strategies and scripts, as well as managing data and environment configurations. You will actively engage in code reviews, track and report defects, and contribute towards ongoing improvements in the end-to-end testing process.

  • Work independently with growing expertise, eventually becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Engage proactively in team discussions and offer effective solutions for work challenges.
  • Design and execute automation approaches aimed at optimizing testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate seamlessly across diverse teams to ensure integrated testing workflows.

Professional & Technical Competencies

  • Possess extensive experience (4-5 years) in automation testing, focusing on script and framework development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in creating utility functions leveraging Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalents.
  • Expertise with Selenium automation, and familiarity with BDD frameworks including Cucumber, Maven, TestNG, WebdriverIO paired with Mocha.
  • Strong knowledge in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Java and JavaScript to drive automation testing.
  • Experience working with version control systems (GIT), continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, and relational databases (SQL).
  • Familiarity with mocking and stubbing APIs using tools such as Wire Mock or Mock Server is a plus.
  • Experience with Testing/New Man Automation and Karate API Automation frameworks.
  • Capable of developing and enhancing BDD automation frameworks for both GUI and API testing.
  • Additional advantage if experienced with Cypress, Playwright, and Core Banking systems.
  • Ability to design and validate API test data effectively.

Additional Details

  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience in automated testing is required.
  • This role is based at the client office in Gurugram, with a required onsite presence at least three days per week.
  • A minimum educational qualification equivalent to 15 years of full-time education is prerequisite.
