Project Manager

About the Role

The Production Manager oversees all phases of production and installation for Universal Renewables' commercial solar projects. This role is responsible for managing installation timelines, coordinating cross-departmental efforts, ensuring site safety protocols are observed, and maintaining the highest quality standards according to engineering plans, manufacturer guidelines, and client agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage installation schedules for multiple simultaneous project sites, coordinating tasks such as post installation, crane operations, racking, and module wiring.
• Provide oversight to field operations via the Field Supervisor.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive site safety programs, including conducting job safety analyses, fall protection measures, roof inspections, wind safety protocols, and adherence to site-specific restrictions.
• Ensure all installations meet requirements from stamped engineering designs, torque and grounding specifications, and racking manufacturers' instructions; carry out quality control inspections and manage punch lists.
• Coordinate with clients and site-hosts to manage access, scheduling, and operational restrictions effectively.
• Report project progress, labor efficiency, and potential schedule risks directly to the President & CEO; promptly address and escalate change order situations.
• Facilitate material and equipment procurement by liaising with Purchasing and Warehouse & Fabrication managers.

Candidate Qualifications

• A minimum of five years' experience managing commercial solar or a relevant construction field operation with multiple crew scheduling responsibilities.
• Understanding of rooftop structural attachment techniques, ballasted and mechanical racking systems, and crane/rigging procedures.
• Possession or ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification, complemented by strong knowledge of fall protection and rooftop safety best practices.
• Competence in interpreting structural and electrical schematics as well as manufacturers' installation manuals.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Click-up and Company Cam is advantageous.

Working Conditions

• Must be capable of outdoor work through all seasons on active construction sites.
