About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager renowned for successfully managing complex industrial or power generation projects from initiation through completion. This opportunity involves overseeing large-scale Equipment Only (EO) and Engineered Equipment Package (EEP) projects that support power plant construction across the Southeast. The assignment extends through March 2030, allowing you to lead impactful projects while collaborating with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver essential energy infrastructure.
Location and Travel
- This is a hybrid position primarily based in the Southeast with preference for candidates in Atlanta, GA.
- Candidates across the Southeast region are encouraged to apply.
- Frequent travel is expected to the Atlanta office, various customer sites, and project locations as projects progress and during key milestones.
- Eligible business travel expenses including airfare, mileage, lodging, rental vehicles, and other approved costs will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects related to power generation equipment from start to finish.
- Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk reduction strategies.
- Act as the principal customer liaison throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate across teams including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, subcontractors, and onsite support.
- Monitor and control project cost, timeline, cash flow, quality, and commercial metrics.
- Oversee contract management, change orders, risk assessment, and resolution of project issues.
- Facilitate meetings with customers, executive reporting, project reviews, and communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure that projects comply with safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and environmental health & safety requirements.
- Promote collaboration across various departments in a matrix organizational structure.
- Manage project closeout activities including financial reconciliation, securing customer sign-off, and documenting lessons learned.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience managing complex projects in industrial, power generation, heavy industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Preferred experience with gas turbine, combined-cycle, or other large thermal power generation projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, commercial performance, contracts, customer relations, and project risks effectively.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams within a matrix company.
- Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or closely related disciplines; equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- Experience in Equipment Only (EO), Engineered Equipment Package (EEP), Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), or significant industrial equipment projects.
- Background working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), EPC contractors, or companies such as GE Vernova, Siemens Energy, Mitsubishi Power, or comparable firms is highly valued.
