Programme Overview in Madhya Pradesh

As a long-term collaborator with the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department, Peepul leads key educational projects such as:

• Sandipani Vidyalaya Programme: Creating around 10,000 high-quality public schools, with initial focus on 300 K–12 schools, where Peepul co-leads academic support and monitoring.
• CM RISE Teacher Professional Development Programme: An internationally recognized project supporting training and coaching for approximately 300,000 state teachers.
• PM SHRI Schools Programme: Facilitates the national program aligned with NEP 2020, aimed at developing 14,500 model schools nationwide.
• Digital Literacy Programme (Amazon Future Engineers): Advancing Computer Science education in Sandipani Vidyalaya schools.

Role Summary

The Project Associate for Computer Science Education will significantly contribute to bolstering Computer Science teaching and learning in Madhya Pradesh’s government schools, especially within the Sandipani Vidyalaya framework. This role involves curriculum development, teacher capability enhancement, and active field engagement. The ideal candidate will be proactive, mission-oriented, and skilled at collaborating with government entities, school leaders, and educators to translate curriculum into effective classroom practice. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth in education reform while influencing programs at a large scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust relationships with state subject matter experts, educational officials, and partner organizations.
• Assist Sandipani Vidyalaya schools in implementing Computer Science curricula by offering both onsite and remote support to teachers and administrators.
• Work in partnership with the School Education Department and collaborators to design and execute teacher training aligned to Computer Science education.
• Create or help develop engaging, age-appropriate Computer Science learning modules and short courses.
• Lead or facilitate training sessions for teachers and students covering topics like MS Office, Scratch Jr, Scratch, and other relevant computer science fundamentals.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities to measure the impact of training and student learning outcomes.
• Support documentation, reporting, and other program-related administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Educational background in Education, Computer Science, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Possess 1 to 4 years of experience in areas such as teacher training, curriculum implementation, or educational programs, with a preference for Computer Science or digital learning exposure.
• Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science concepts appropriate for school learners and ability to design engaging educational experiences.
• Experience working within government programs and managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Strong ownership mentality, adaptability, and readiness to engage directly with on-ground realities.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Hindi.
