Position Overview
The Program Manager, Health Services, is primarily responsible for managing the Medical & Abortion programs daily, including staff oversight, program development, scheduling, fiscal management, quality assurance, and innovative practices. This leadership role involves guiding the Client Service Teams and collaborating closely with Medical Directors and clinical personnel to align programs with client needs and promote integration both within the organization and with external services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily functions of Health Services and Abortion Program activities.
- Supervise and coordinate an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers.
- Design, execute, and assess program operations for effectiveness.
- Conduct periodic program audits to maintain client service quality and client data accuracy.
- Develop and implement operational strategies and address service issues proactively.
- Compile monthly data reports and statistics for monitoring.
- Participate actively in internal and external committees.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standard practices.
- Lead recruitment, staff orientation, and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Manage employee discipline and performance for direct reports.
- Collaborate with leadership and program teams to implement the Strategic Plan.
- Monitor program budgets, track expenditures, and alert on budget variances and irregularities; support budget planning.
- Investigate incidents and implement practice improvements to enhance services.
- Oversee the use of the Electronic Medical Record system, including documentation, scheduling, and proposing enhancements.
- Identify community needs, develop supporting programs, and maintain communications with stakeholders to assess service effectiveness and unmet needs.
- Lead orientation for students and residents within the program and WHC.
- Perform manager on-call duties as required.
