Role Overview
The Program Assistant will provide essential administrative and program support across various initiatives at the N7 Foundation, especially those related to Middle Eastern affairs and regional cooperation. This entry-level position offers valuable practical experience in foreign policy, international relations, and research. The role is based in Washington, DC, requiring in-office attendance during standard office hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate complex scheduling and organize meetings with U.S. and international stakeholders.
- Document minutes accurately and monitor follow-up actions from senior-level policy meetings and events.
- Assist in planning and executing events such as roundtables, briefings, and international gatherings.
- Manage travel arrangements domestically and abroad, including drafting itineraries and preparing briefing documents.
- Deliver administrative and operational aid to senior management.
- Perform background research on topics including Middle East policy and regional integration.
- Support the development of memorandums, briefing notes, and independent research projects where appropriate.
- Handle diverse tasks within a small team environment, showing adaptability and strong collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, Middle Eastern studies, economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven interest in Middle Eastern policy and regional cooperative efforts.
- Strong political awareness and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
- High organizational aptitude with careful attention to detail.
- Proficient writing, research, and communication skills.
- Capacity to juggle multiple priorities efficiently in a dynamic setting.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion, especially with sensitive information.
- Willingness to work fully onsite in Washington, DC.
- Availability for international travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience through internships or employment in U.S. government agencies, Congress, foreign policy institutions, or think tanks.
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern regional dynamics and related policy topics.
- Experience supporting high-profile events, policy programs, or significant meetings.
- Background in policy drafting, preparation of briefings, or research projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range between $50,000 and $60,000 annually, depending on experience.
