Opportunity Overview
A prominent financial services company located in the New York City area is looking for a Procurement/Sourcing Analyst to be part of their Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing group. This role plays a key part in managing vendor contracts, supporting procurement and sourcing activities, and collaborating closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, and other business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update vendor contracts to ensure that important details such as terms, pricing, renewal schedules, and obligations are correctly captured.
- Analyze agreements with suppliers and verify contract information across a broad array of vendor accounts.
- Contribute to procurement, sourcing, and vendor management programs and initiatives.
- Work together with Legal, Finance, Risk, and business teams to resolve issues related to contracts and vendors.
- Participate in vendor due diligence, maintain reports, and assist with contract administration duties.
- Identify and propose improvements for procurement processes and enhance data accuracy.
- Assist with occasional sourcing, procurement, and operational projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, Contract Management, or Third-Party Risk.
- Proven experience in reviewing and handling vendor contracts and supplier documentation.
- Strong analytical capabilities along with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle large volumes of detailed, precise work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in financial services is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
