About the Role
Join Nyrstar at their Port Pirie site as a Plant Operator, responsible for operating machinery including forklifts and cranes across five plant areas. Your role involves hands-on work to safely and efficiently process critical metals essential for global industries. The plant transforms raw material into valuable metals in a production-focused environment.
Work Schedule
Operators work on an even-time 4 on/4 off roster with 12-hour shifts. This schedule consists of two day shifts followed by two night shifts, then four days off, providing a balanced lifestyle and opportunities to engage in community activities.

Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in heavy industry, construction, or similar labor roles
- Possession of relevant licenses and tickets such as Forklift, Bridge & Gantry, Confined Space, or Working at Heights highly preferred
- Physical fitness with ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong focus on safety and ability to work well in a team environment
