About The Role & Team
The Performance Marketing team operates within The Walt Disney Company's Marketing division, focusing on leveraging emerging and advanced advertising technologies to deliver data-driven outcomes across various media platforms. This team encompasses Marketing Technology, Marketing Science, Marketing Strategy & Operations, Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Compliance, all collaborating to enhance advertising efficacy and safeguard The Walt Disney Company's brands.
This position belongs to the Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations team, partnering closely with internal marketing units, media agencies, and activation partners to generate value across Disney's diverse brand portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate with a Senior Performance Marketing Team Lead to develop and apply robust performance marketing strategies across Disney's brands.
- Design and execute comprehensive, omni-platform audience data strategies utilizing first-party, second-party, and third-party data sources.
- Develop and manage auction bid, pacing, and optimization tactics to enhance media performance.
- Analyze and uncover key drivers of media performance, delivering actionable insights to optimize spending aligned with business objectives.
- Handle ad buying platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Snapchat, TikTok, Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, DV360, and The Trade Desk, collaborating with internal and external sales and ad operations teams.
- Implement rigorous testing and learning cycles with Marketing Science and Analytics to benchmark and refine performance marketing approaches.
- Interpret and share analytical results and learnings from campaigns and data testing in partnership with Marketing Science and Media Agency Analytics.
- Work cross-functionally with internal media and marketing teams and external agencies to continuously improve marketing efforts.
- Maintain daily communication with media agency activation teams to ensure accurate campaign implementation.
- Provide support on ad hoc projects as needed.
- Share knowledge of media technologies, buying platforms, analytics tools, and marketing business processes with team members and relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- At least 7 years’ experience in digital advertising media, performance marketing, media analytics, or paid social/search/programmatic auction buying.
- Proficiency with digital ad platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, DSPs including DV360, Trade Desk, Yahoo, Amazon, Innovid, and LiveRamp.
- Solid understanding of digital advertising components including audience targeting, attribution, measurement, and optimization methods.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with experience analyzing complex data for actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively presenting findings to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of digital campaign setup, tracking, tagging, and ad-serving basics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Familiarity with Airtable.
- Background supporting performance marketing for entertainment, media, direct-to-consumer, or consumer brands.
- Experience translating business needs into data requirements and working with cross-functional teams.
- History of collaboration with media agencies and external activation partners.
- Exposure to marketing experimentation, incrementality testing, or advanced measurement techniques.
- Passion for entertainment and The Walt Disney Company.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Analytics, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
- This position is primarily based in the Burbank office, with onsite attendance Monday through Thursday and remote work flexibility on Fridays.
- The salary range for this role in California is $129,300 to $173,300 annually, with compensation influenced by factors such as internal equity, geographic area, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional bonuses or long-term incentives may be part of the package, along with comprehensive benefits.
