Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Operations Team Member to join our Invercargill branch, working across various areas including the trade counter, yard, and Drive Thru. This full-time permanent position involves providing exceptional customer service to tradespeople, businesses, and homeowners, while supporting warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Accurately check and receipt incoming goods into our inventory system.
- Perform stock-taking, restocking, and product rotation on shelves.
- Load goods onto customer vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Process customer orders and transaction handling.
- Pick orders for delivery as required.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Support warehouse efficiency as directed by supervisors.
Working Hours
This role is full-time at 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with one rostered Saturday per month.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in customer service within retail sales or warehouse settings is essential.
- Capable of manual handling and moderate to heavy lifting; physical fitness and adherence to health and safety standards are critical.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to build positive customer relationships.
- Self-motivated and able to work proactively both independently and as part of a team, even under pressure.
- Computer literate and comfortable learning new systems.
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver's license is mandatory; forklift license is advantageous.
