Role Overview

The Operations Associate working the overnight shift provides essential support by ensuring the store is fully stocked, organized, and ready for trading at the start of each day. This position is responsible for receiving deliveries, restocking shelves, maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to merchandising standards, and safeguarding store presentation according to M&S criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out shelf replenishment across all departments during night hours to guarantee comprehensive product availability prior to store opening.
• Refill products from stockroom to sales floor prioritizing promotional, seasonal, and high-demand items.
• Maintain well-stocked, front-faced shelves aligned with M&S merchandising standards.
• Receive and accurately process daily deliveries, reporting any stock shortages or damages.
• Support stock audits, counts, and investigations to ensure precise inventory tracking.
• Organize and store inventory safely and systematically within the stockroom.
• Implement planograms and merchandising guidelines effectively.
• Ensure pricing and shelf labels are accurate and timely.
• Maintain superior levels of presentation and housekeeping, removing unsuitable products promptly.
• Prepare promotional displays and seasonal setups in readiness for opening hours.
• Operate stock handling equipment safely following company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Assist with store operational initiatives including layout changes and seasonal resets.
• Manage stockroom organization to optimize retrieval efficiency and support waste reduction and stock loss prevention.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in stockroom and dispose of packaging materials per recycling guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with Store Management and Operations teams to meet overnight replenishment objectives.
• Communicate any challenges or operational concerns effectively within the team.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in retail operations, stock replenishment, warehouse logistics, or inventory control roles.
• Preferred prior experience with overnight retail shifts.
• Competence in handling deliveries and inventory management systems including handheld devices.
• Familiarity with retail merchandising and replenishment processes.
• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, handle physical workload, and operate safely in a demanding environment.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, public holidays, and varied schedules.
