Role Overview and Key Performance Indicators

This role centers on achieving effective debt recovery and efficient portfolio management within the collections department of a leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi. Success will be measured by key metrics such as the collection rate against set targets, operational efficiency of outsourced agencies, timely settlement processing, strict compliance adherence, and overall portfolio resolution effectiveness.

Required Skills and Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of the collections and recovery process specific to credit and personal loan products.
• Proficient in data analysis and management information systems to monitor performance and generate reports.
• Strong negotiation abilities and sound decision-making skills to handle recovery situations.
• Effective management of relationships with stakeholders and external recovery vendors.
• Well-versed in the regulatory framework governing banking practices in the UAE.

Experience and Educational Background

• Between one and five years of professional experience in debt collection or recovery within banks, non-banking financial companies, or external agencies.
• Demonstrated experience in managing outsourced recovery partners.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance or Business is required, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA.
