Odoo Implementation Specialist

Overview

We are recruiting a skilled Odoo ERP Implementation Specialist to spearhead the deployment, setup, and customization of the Odoo ERP system across our company in Muscat, Oman. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of current business operations, enabling the individual to tailor Odoo modules effectively, liaise with various departments, and facilitate a smooth transition from legacy systems to Odoo.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive implementation of Odoo ERP within the organization.
• Analyze existing business workflows and propose process enhancements and automation strategies.
• Configure and deploy Odoo modules including Accounting & Finance, Sales & CRM, Purchase, Inventory & Warehouse, Manufacturing (MRP), HR & Payroll, Expenses, Fleet, Maintenance, and Point of Sale where applicable.
• Set up workflows, approval processes, user permissions, and system access controls.
• Collaborate with management and department leaders to gather and understand business requirements.
• Manage data migration, cleansing, and overall system configuration.
• Coordinate with Odoo developers to deliver necessary customizations and system integrations.
• Conduct thorough system testing, troubleshooting, and validation pre-launch.
• Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user manuals.
• Deliver training sessions for staff and departmental users to ensure effective system utilization.
• Offer post-deployment support and promptly address system-related issues.
• Monitor system performance and continuously seek automation and process improvement opportunities.
• Ensure full integration of Odoo ERP with the company’s operational and financial frameworks.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three to five years’ hands-on experience successfully implementing Odoo ERP systems.
• Proven track record of end-to-end Odoo ERP deployment in one or more organizations.
• In-depth understanding of Odoo functional modules and associated business procedures.
• Background in manufacturing, trading, distribution or FMCG sectors is highly advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of accounting, inventory control, purchasing, sales, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with data migration, user training, and ERP system rollout.
• Familiarity with Odoo customization, Python programming, and PostgreSQL database management is an added benefit.
• Strong communication skills coupled with analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently drive projects while coordinating across multiple departments.
