Multimedia Content Creator

Position Overview

The Multimedia Content Creator role at Boston Public Schools involves producing diverse multimedia materials to engage internal and external audiences about the district's strategic initiatives. As part of the Communications team, the person in this position will handle specific projects and help generate content supporting the department's goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and distribute content for both digital and print platforms to relevant audiences promptly.
• Support social media management by assisting with posts and content publication.
• Provide videography and photography services for designated strategic campaigns and events across BPS offices and schools.
• Collaborate effectively within the content team to meet deadlines and maintain quality output.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or at least two years of professional experience in journalism, video/photo production, digital marketing, or a related discipline.
• Skilled in using DSLR cameras, iPhones for shooting photos and videos.
• Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
• Strong teamwork capabilities and ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently.
• Excellent time management to deliver under tight schedules.
• Superior communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Schedule

The role requires an eight-hour workday with steady workflow and occasional evening or weekend work depending on event and media engagement demands.
