Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Mapping Data Collection Driver to join our field operations team. The role involves driving designated routes to gather real-time mapping data while ensuring the safe use and maintenance of company vehicles and data collection equipment. Attention to detail, compliance with safety standards, and effective communication with the operations lead are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive assigned routes for real-time mapping data collection.
  • Operate company vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Utilize GPS navigation systems, mapping software, and mobile data collection tools to complete assignments.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections daily, both before and after shifts.
  • Report maintenance needs, mechanical issues, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain communication with the Operations Lead regarding daily progress and operational status.
  • Immediately report any accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations, or incidents in the field.
  • Support operational activities such as vehicle maintenance coordination, equipment pickup and drop-off, and cleaning company vehicles.
  • Ensure all equipment is handled responsibly and kept in proper working order.
  • Complete routes accurately and adhere to scheduled timelines.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid driving license with a clean driving history.
  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred prior experience in driving, logistics, field operations, or delivery roles.
  • Comfortable with long-duration driving.
  • Basic familiarity with GPS navigation and smartphone apps.
  • Good communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and comply with operational procedures.
  • Physically able to perform light tasks such as vehicle cleaning and equipment handling.
