Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our engineering function within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing setting. This senior leadership position demands overseeing engineering teams, bolstering production operations, and spearheading continuous enhancements in manufacturing procedures. Collaborating closely with operations, quality, supply chain, and maintenance departments, the role aims to uphold engineering excellence while improving safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and nurture the Manufacturing Engineering team, cultivating a culture rooted in responsibility, teamwork, and continuous development.
  • Prioritize engineering tasks and allocate resources effectively to back manufacturing activities.
  • Provide technical guidance across manufacturing processes, machinery, and operational advancements.
  • Plan talent growth and succession within the engineering team.
  • Work alongside production and operations to guarantee smooth daily manufacturing output.
  • Tackle technical issues, stabilize processes, and reduce downtime to support production.
  • Manage engineering priorities across multiple production zones while adapting to shifting business demands.
  • Align engineering operations with schedules and customer delivery commitments.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs targeting amplified operational performance.
  • Drive projects that boost productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reductions.
  • Facilitate systematic problem-solving to introduce lasting corrective and preventive measures.
  • Standardize and promote best practices across processes.
  • Create, implement, and optimize manufacturing methodologies to promote operational excellence.
  • Lead engineering efforts for new product launches, process transfers, and production introductions.
  • Oversee capital investments, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to deliver engineering solutions aligned with business growth.
  • Track and improve key performance indicators including safety, quality, productivity, equipment effectiveness, downtime, delivery, and cost.
  • Analyze data to spot trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support performance reporting and operational review frameworks.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate tightly with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Production to boost overall plant effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure cohesive operational alignment.
  • Support company initiatives with clear communication, technical know-how, and cooperative problem-solving.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production, or related Engineering field.
  • Extensive background in Manufacturing Engineering within an industrial or manufacturing context.
  • Proven leadership experience managing Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial engineering principles, and production optimization techniques.
  • Experience supporting production in high-volume or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving tools.
  • Track record of leading process improvements, automation, and operational excellence projects.
  • Successful management of capital investments and engineering projects.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional manufacturing organizations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Fluent English communication skills are essential.
