Manager, Procurement (Sustainability)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sustainable Procurement Manager to lead and embed sustainability within our supply chain processes. This role focuses on integrating responsible procurement practices that align with ISO 20400 standards, helping to reduce environmental impact and improve ESG outcomes while supporting commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain a Sustainable Procurement Policy consistent with corporate ESG goals and recognized industry guidelines.
• Develop and continuously update Category Playbooks which include sustainability considerations, risk assessments, and benchmarks for supplier performance, collaborating closely with category managers to embed these sustainability goals in procurement strategies.
• Coordinate engagement programs with suppliers to drive Scope 3 emissions reductions and support climate action initiatives, including conducting supplier capacity-building efforts to enhance sustainability performance.
• Manage ESG performance monitoring of suppliers, ensuring compliance across environmental, social, and governance dimensions and integrating these metrics into supplier scorecards and reporting tools alongside category managers.
• Support the preparation of annual sustainability reports related to responsible sourcing, ensuring alignment with corporate ESG commitments and reporting frameworks.
• Incorporate sustainability criteria into procurement Standard Operating Procedures, driving ongoing improvements aligned with ISO 20400 best practices.
• Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Sustainability, and other business functions to synchronize goals, and actively participate in external sustainability networks and industry forums.
• Lead comprehensive procurement processes including Requests for Information/Quotation/Proposal (RFI/RFQ/RFP) for technology-related solutions and services, performing sourcing, negotiation, commercial evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Negotiate commercial agreements to balance cost effectiveness with value and ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies.
  Drive procurement operations to achieve company and team performance targets.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable procurement experience emphasizing sustainability and ESG integration.
• Familiarity with Scope 3 emissions management, ISO 20400 guidelines, and sustainable supply chain practices is preferred.
• Experience with procurement software such as Ariba or SAP is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
