Overview

Keda Zambia Ceramics Ltd is recruiting 20 Management Trainees to join their Production Department. This role involves participating in a comprehensive rotational training program across multiple facets of ceramic tile manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in rotational training covering production, quality control, maintenance, and operations to build thorough knowledge of ceramic manufacturing processes.
  • Assist supervisors in overseeing daily production activities while ensuring compliance with safety policies, process standards, and product quality criteria.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process inefficiencies, suggesting technical improvements, and contributing to initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance equipment performance.
  • Involve hands-on participation in operating and maintaining mechanical, mechatronic, and chemical equipment used in ceramic tile production.
  • Gather and analyze production metrics such as output, downtime, and defect rates; prepare performance reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production planning teams to facilitate seamless workflow and resolve production issues promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to factory safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and operational standards set by the company.
  • Participate in shift work, demonstrating flexibility to work rotating shifts and extended hours as necessary within the factory environment.
  • Develop leadership potential by supporting supervisors in team coordination and workforce management in preparation for future leadership positions.
  • Commit to ongoing learning through technical training sessions, mentorship, and regular evaluations to deepen expertise in ceramic manufacturing technology.

Essential Requirements

  • Possession of a Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or closely related engineering disciplines.
  • Work experience up to 3 years is acceptable.
  • Applicants should be no older than 28 years.
  • Fluency in English and/or French is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a factory production setting including accepting shift work.
