Job description
Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of all hospital facilities to support uninterrupted daily operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct boiler alarm tests, water quality assessments, and electrical appliance tests to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain and repair sanitation infrastructure including drains, sanitary ware, guttering, and downpipes; keep plant rooms and workshops tidy and safe.
- Clear blockages in bedpan macerators, sinks, drains, and toilets efficiently.
- Manage renovation and repair tasks within the facility as required.
- Execute non-routine maintenance tasks to uphold facility standards.
- Organize daily work schedules and collaborate with department members and hospital staff to resolve infrastructure issues promptly.
- Perform routine facility inspections to identify potential problems or damages and maintain comprehensive checklists.
- Prepare detailed weekly defect reports for the Facility Manager highlighting faults and possible complications.
- Engage proactively in planned preventative maintenance activities.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- ITI qualification.
- Between 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in facility management and equipment upkeep.
- Technical knowledge in electrical equipment maintenance and skilled in using workshop machinery.
- Strong teamwork capability with good interpersonal skills and conflict resolution aptitude.
- Proficient in Kannada with effective communication skills to address and resolve operational issues.
