Maintenance Technician

Role overview

Eirgen Pharma is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production and site equipment operating reliably to high standards. The role focuses on planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical setting.

What you will do

• Build a strong working knowledge of process and plant equipment, including tablet and capsule manufacturing and packaging lines, chillers, boilers, HVAC, compressed air, nitrogen systems, wastewater, lab gases, electrical distribution, backup power generation, and general office services.
• Create predictive maintenance approaches using the PEMAC maintenance management system.
• Design, refine, and improve preventative maintenance schedules using RCM principles.
• Prepare and follow relevant SOPs and maintenance procedures.
• Plan spare parts needs so equipment remains supported, available, and cost-effective to maintain.
• Develop spare parts listings for different assets and systems.
• Carry out troubleshooting and reactive maintenance when issues arise.
• Track equipment performance using measures such as downtime, yield where relevant, efficiency, and maintenance cost.
• Work with vendors to build relationships and support maintenance contract development.
• Make sure preventive maintenance is completed on schedule and in a compliant way.

Health, safety, and environment

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Help strengthen a positive safety culture by consistently putting safety first and encouraging others to do the same.
• Coordinate with contractors, including inductions, work permits, and RAMS documentation.

Quality and compliance

• Ensure all maintenance work meets company standards as well as cGMP, cGLP, SOP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Take personal accountability for quality compliance in every task you handle.

About you

You should bring a senior trade qualification or a relevant third-level degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing disciplines, along with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a GMP environment, ideally pharmaceutical manufacturing. Experience using a maintenance management system would be an advantage.
