Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing company based in East Kilbride. This role involves combining routine site-based maintenance with field engineering support at customer locations across the UK and occasionally Ireland. The company specializes in supplying specialist machinery and manufacturing solutions within the food production sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot issues, and apply effective repair solutions
• Service, maintain, and install specialist machinery at client sites across the UK and Ireland
• Provide equipment demonstrations and deliver basic training to customers
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime

Candidate Requirements

• A solid mechanical engineering background with prior experience in a manufacturing setting
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Strong communication skills, especially in customer interactions
• Possession of a full UK driving license and willingness to travel as part of the role
• Basic electrical knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
