Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join the Arnott’s Virginia team, ideal for individuals experienced in machine operation within a high-speed production setting who maintain composure, focus, and a problem-solving approach. The role involves running packing machinery, feeding product onto conveyor belts, and ensuring consistent product quality and line performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up, conducting changeovers, operating, and troubleshooting equipment adhering to OH&S, Quality, and Performance standards.
• Maintaining uninterrupted operation of packing machinery and feeding stations.
• Performing regular quality control inspections throughout shifts.
• Complying with GMP, HACCP, and hygiene protocols to keep production areas clean and compliant.
• Working independently and collaboratively to achieve daily production targets.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Mentoring and developing team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous machine operation experience in the FMCG industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with confidence in equipment troubleshooting.
• Understanding of teamwork, safety, and quality operational principles.
• Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts is beneficial.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
• Consistently strong work performance and attendance.
• High attention to detail.
• Proven leadership and ability to collaborate within a team.
