Overview

Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division is actively seeking a Logistics Supervisor for its Brandon, FL location. This role involves overseeing daily logistics operations, supporting team development, and collaborating closely with the Logistics Manager to maintain exceptional standards and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, onsite position with a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with potential additional hours as business demands.

Compensation and Benefits

Exempt salaried role with salary paid twice monthly
Annual pay: $55,000, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate day-to-day logistics activities ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards
Collaborate with the Logistics Manager in planning and reviewing processes to meet operational and customer service criteria
Create and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure optimal operational coverage
Responsible for achieving site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Work cooperatively with clients on all operational aspects
Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one progress reviews, coaching, performance evaluation, and recognition of success
Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, fostering teamwork and continuous process improvement
Manage performance issues through corrective measures and disciplinary actions
Maintain positive labor relations in line with labor agreements
Ensure implementation and adherence to health, safety, and security policies
Provide comprehensive orientation and resources to new employees and team leaders
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum one year experience in transportation, warehousing, or distribution preferred
