Role Overview

The Project Coordinator will play a vital role within the Project Logistics team by managing transportation and logistics projects for clients in utility, energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This role requires close collaboration with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious project execution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate transportation and logistics activities linked to project-based shipments across North America.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, tracking, and carrying out project freight movements efficiently.
• Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to update project statuses and milestones.
• Monitor shipment progress proactively, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, shipment records, and generate reports for customers.
• Obtain carrier quotes, evaluate options, and negotiate transportation rates when applicable.
• Support budgeting, cost monitoring, and profitability analysis for assigned projects.
• Coordinate needs for specialized equipment, permits, escorts, and site-specific delivery conditions.
• Participate in customer meetings, project planning discussions, and operational performance reviews.
• Ensure strict adherence to customer specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with urgent and expedited transportation requests as necessary.
• Deliver excellent customer service and foster strong partnerships with clients and carriers.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, project coordination, supply chain, or related areas.
• Experience in project logistics within utility, energy, industrial, construction, or heavy-haul transportation sectors is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional organizational skills and effective management of multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
