Logistics Coordinator

Overview

A Medical Device manufacturing firm based in Alexandria is actively recruiting a Logistics Coordinator. This position supports the Warehouse Manager and plays a key role in leading the logistics team, overseeing all functions related to receiving, dispatching, and daily warehouse operations.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Workdays: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Annual salary: $85,000 plus superannuation
• Annual Private Health Allowance: $1,800
• Immediate start
• Full legal working rights required

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate forecast data and past usage patterns to manage inventory ordering
• Generate purchase orders to ensure timely stock availability
• Maintain appropriate stock levels to avoid shortages
• Coordinate with the global distribution center to guarantee prompt order fulfillment
• Ensure accurate receipting and processing of incoming orders
• Organize and manage stocktakes and cycle counts
• Keep inventory replenished for both logistics and production needs
• Collaborate with internal finance for invoice and credit processing
• Handle returned stock by processing credits and returning items to the global distribution center
• Provide overall support for receiving, packing, and distribution tasks within the logistics function

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain is highly preferred
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in inventory control and ordering, managing supply and demand
• Familiarity with various supply chain functions and operations
• Experience liaising with overseas factories and international freight service providers
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
