Job description
Position Overview
The Learning & Development Executive will collaborate with managers and department heads to assess staffing and recruitment needs, identifying gaps in skills through comprehensive needs assessments. This role involves creating and delivering various training materials such as workbooks, manuals, and interactive formats to enhance employee learning experiences. Responsibilities include preparing training sessions, leading group training, and ensuring safety training and orientations are conducted properly across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with management to understand recruitment and staffing needs and establish training priorities.
- Design, develop, and produce comprehensive training materials for varied learning formats.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions, including setup and breakdown.
- Conduct live training for employee groups and oversee mandatory safety and orientation training.
- Support management in the complete employee lifecycle including hiring, scheduling, evaluating, discipline, motivation, coaching, and counseling.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety, and security guidelines, and report any incidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; manage phone calls with appropriate etiquette.
- Foster positive working relationships to promote teamwork and effectively respond to employee concerns.
- Welcome guests courteously, anticipate their needs, and assist individuals with disabilities, enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Maintain quality standards and expectations consistently.
- Perform various physical tasks related to the role including standing, walking, and handling objects up to 10 pounds.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- No specific license or certification required.
