Lead Business Systems Analyst - Wealth Technology Transformation

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Business Systems Analyst to join the Wealth Labs Programme, a strategic initiative aimed at transforming wealth technology by unifying the advisor experience across various platforms, applications, and data sources. This program will consolidate fragmented processes into a single digital workspace and incorporate AI-enabled features to help advisors efficiently access information and complete key tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis efforts in a large-scale wealth technology transformation project.
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, system, integration, and data requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and conduct interviews across business and technology teams.
• Develop mappings for current and future business process states.
• Evaluate complex application environments, system dependencies, data flows, and integrations.
• Perform gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement.
• Design AI-powered user journeys, workflows, and business capabilities.
• Create detailed functional specifications and documentation to support delivery.
• Assist with roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution activities.
• Provide leadership and clarity in uncertain situations, guiding decisions and aligning stakeholders.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst, ideally in Wealth Management.
• Thorough knowledge of Private Wealth and High Net Worth (HNW) domains.
• In-depth understanding of advisor platforms, portfolio management, managed accounts, wealth operations, and client servicing.
• Familiarity with wealth products, data ecosystems, CRM, trading, and portfolio management systems.
• Track record supporting platform modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise-level change initiatives.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, data analysis, and documentation.
• Capability to identify and articulate system integrations, data sources, and end-to-end data flows.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Wealth Platforms and Technologies

• Experience with Wealth360, Broadridge, FIS Investor's Edge, or Book of Record (BoR) platforms.

AI and Data Expertise

• Knowledge of Agentic AI, AI agents, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI-driven user experiences.
• Capability to define requirements supporting AI-assisted workflows and productivity enhancements.
• Skills in data mapping, data analysis, and familiarity with modern data platforms.
• Experience using AI tools like GitHub Copilot or similar to aid analysis and documentation.
• An understanding of AI governance, operationalization, and ethical AI practices.

Contract Details

• This is an initial 6-month contract with high likelihood for extension.
• Role is senior or lead level, involving hybrid work with significant stakeholder interaction.
• Position is within a major wealth technology transformation program and is onsite in Toronto, Ontario.
