Job Overview

This role involves operating commercial laundry equipment to manage bulk laundry items effectively. The position requires loading and unloading washing machines and dryers, ensuring correct sorting, load capacity, and use of appropriate cleaning agents and settings. Additionally, the incumbent will fold and organize laundered items.

Duties

• Operate commercial laundry machines, including loading and unloading laundry items.
• Correctly sort laundry and ensure proper machine settings and solvent use.
• Perform folding and stacking of laundered goods.
• Clean various facility areas such as rooms, corridors, and stairways using manual and powered cleaning equipment.
• Use industrial devices for cleaning items like rugs and drapes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Applicants must provide a Direct Deposit and valid Social Security Card.
• Meet eligibility, qualifications, and background standards relevant to this position.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during special MWR events.
• The role may require health screening due to duties involving lifting up to 50 pounds, walking on hard surfaces, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Immunizations may be mandated for workplace safety.

Additional Details

• This opportunity is open to candidates residing within 100 kilometers (60 miles) of Grafenwöhr, Germany.

• Permanent Change of Station (PCS) relocation costs are not authorized for this position.
• The role is covered under the Federal Wage Schedule system which includes overtime pay and potentially Sunday premium pay and additional pay for evening shifts after 3:00 PM.
• Overseas allowances such as cost of living adjustments are generally not provided except for applicable post allowances.
