Laptop Chip Level Technician

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose hardware and chip-level problems in laptops. Troubleshoot and repair motherboard issues. Utilize tools such as multimeters, DC power supplies, and oscilloscopes. Inspect and replace SMD components including ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, and diodes. Perform BIOS programming and BIOS IC flashing. Identify BGA ICs and have knowledge of reballing and replacement processes. Resolve issues like no power, no display, auto switching on, short circuits, charging faults, and dead motherboards. Conduct fault finding using laptop schematics and board views. Perform quality tests after repairs to ensure functionality. Maintain repair reports and service records. Protect customer data privacy and security. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of workplace and tools.

Qualifications

Candidates should have completed ITI, Diploma, 12th grade, or Graduation preferably in technical fields. Having certification or practical experience in laptop chip-level repairing is preferred. Both freshers and experienced candidates are eligible.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of laptop hardware and motherboard repair
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and board views
• Experience with multimeters and soldering stations
• Understanding of BIOS programming
• Experience in SMD soldering and component replacement
• Technical problem-solving abilities
• Capability to work in a team and meet deadlines
