Role Overview

This position is a full-time land surveying role requiring presence at the workplace in Dar es-Salaam. The land surveyor will be responsible for conducting field surveys including topographic and boundary assessments using instruments like total stations to gather precise spatial data. Key duties include preparing detailed survey plans, maps, and reports, verifying measurements, and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations. The candidate will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers, supplying essential data for construction and infrastructure projects. Additional responsibilities include site inspections, identifying potential challenges, and proposing solutions to ensure safe and efficient project execution, while maintaining organized records of all survey findings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in land surveying applicable to multiple project types.
• Experience conducting topographic surveys to aid site analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with total station and other land surveying instruments.
• Background in surveying for building and infrastructure works.
• Formal education through diploma or a degree in land surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related disciplines.
• Ability to analyze technical drawings, maps, and legal property descriptions.
• Familiarity with survey software, CAD programs, and elementary GIS applications is advantageous.
• Strong numerical accuracy, detailed attention, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety during on-site operations.
• Possession of professional registration or licenses is a plus.
